The Northern Tradition is the shamanic side of the Norse/Viking religions. It is similar to the practices of the Sami peoples, however concentrating on the Norse pantheon and traditions. We use the term "sorcery" or spirit working for our practices as it is more culturally correct instead of the term Shamanism.
The Northern Tradition is the European native practice as it was in the time of the Norse and Vikings and before. We of this path utilize spirit communication, herbology, journeying, and Runes to accomplish goals for ourselves and our folk (clients).
My rune casting technique is different from many Rune Masters in that I mostly utilize sheep knucklebones and a casting board to divine questions for my clients. This techinique gives clarity and many facets to the reading. It also keeps with the tradition of Northern sorcery/spirit working (shamanic) practices. I will occasionally utilize rune tiles for readings as my guides direct.

Keep checking back for more on the Northern Tradition.
